I have recently finished my latest website project for First Editions Ltd. First Editions Ltd are the UK’s largest supplier of promotional sports bottles and as such, required a website that reflects their quality business image and their entire bespoke product library.
Using the Concrete5 CMS engine, the new First Editions Ltd website is completely editable via it’s outrageously good end user admin interface that functions by highlighting editable blocks to add/edit and delete content. This removes the need for the traditional administrative interface you find on all other CMS systems.
During this project I was able to work with the Concrete5 database and it’s OOP coding style. I have played around with Concrete5 quite a bit in the past however I had never actually made my own bespoke tool for it. First Editions Ltd required a powerful image gallery that displayed their entire sports bottle portfolio with a filter system. The image gallery plugins currently on the Concrete5 marketplace did not support this functionality, so I had to set about making it myself. The finished project incorporated the jQuery Fancybox plugin!
